Well, today was a big day! I just got brand new living room furniture! I am so very excited! I cannot wait to see it in my living room. It is currently scheduled to be delivered December 15, however; the sales associate assured me he would try his best to get it to me next week. While this is good news it does prevent a few problems. I asked him exactly when he thought it might be, and he said the day after Thanksgiving. He did say very honestly that he wanted me to get my furniture early for my pleasure but also because the sooner I get my furniture, the sooner he gets his money from the sale. Anyway, as the excitement lit up my face a very real force of panic went through my body. There are 2 problems with this scenario.
Problem #1:
The day after Thanksgiving is BLACK FRIDAY! I have serious intentions of doing so CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! It is a huge tradition with my mom, my sister, and myself. We start at o'dark o'clock (6 a.m.)and go all day, finishing up by about 8 or 9 o'clock. It is an exhausting and exhilarating day all rolled into one! Now should the helpful associate come through and get me the FABULOUS furniture early, this shopping excursion I speak of will be interrupted...this is tragic, but it does have a good payoff!
Problem #2:
This is what sent the panic coursing through me! Once I get the new furniture it is my plan to move my treadmill into the guest bedroom. This is a fantastic plan because I really don't care for it in the living room. It is an intimidating plan because the guest bedroom is in a slight state of disarray. I mean it was in perfect condition then I had to swap dressers and somehow there was not a smooth transition with the clothing, meaning all the clothes that came out of the dresser did not make it back into the new dresser. This means there are some clothes on the bed. A few months ago my neighbor's home flooded from rain and it leaked all into my bedroom. My landlord had to come in move all the furniture out and put big fans to dry the carpet. Well a lot of the items had to come out of the bedroom and naturally they were moved to the spare bedroom and for some reason are still there. Another problem is I decided to organize my purses. Well I pulled all of them (maybe a few too many) out and am still contemplating an effective way to organize them. So...my week of vacation will be spent cleaning, organizing, sorting, and purging items I do not need anymore. I love to organize and I love a clean house so this is a good thing. I do know myself well enough to know that the only problem with all this is that I get distracted so easily. While I am putting things away I get interested in them and stop to find a new and better use of them, and so forth. But perhaps I will be more successful this week since I have an actual deadline. I am not free to just go through things in my own sweet time, instead I am on Rooms To Go time! So wish me well, I will definitely need it!
